Clinical Services

"Stop a minute, right where you are. Relax your shoulders, shake your head and spine like a dog shaking off cold water. Tell that imperious voice in your head to be still."

Barbara Kingsolver

What Clinical Services are best for me?

Individual Therapy

Our work together is designed to explore the root of the issue, dig deep into your behavior, thoughts, and emotions and teach strategies that can help you accomplish your personal and/or relational goals.

Individual therapy is effective for so many people because it’s a safe, confidential, judgment free and prescriptive approach to working with you: your strengths, your struggles and your individual needs.

Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time therapy can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place. Please reach out to me today for an assessment for individual therapy.

Please note, I currently have a wait list of 6-8 months for this service.

Group Therapy

Group therapy helps you find a sense of community with others who are going through similar things as you while giving you access to valuable therapy that can truly help you feel better.

Group therapy’s effectiveness lies in its ability to help you find connections with other people and their experiences.

These therapist-guided sessions will help you learn more about yourself and how to improve the way you feel, while feeling support from others who understand your experience.

How I work

Most behavior change is created not through talking, but through doing.

The techniques I use recognize that our “unfinished business” has the tendency to resurrect itself throughout our lifespan until it is adequately resolved. The most effective therapy offers here-and-now opportunities to address these needs in the moment.

Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a comprehensive and evidence based therapeutic approach that addresses treatment from a whole person perspective. Art is a natural avenue for accessing inherent creativity, which acts as a powerful aid in this process of growth and development. Often through artwork, storytelling, and creative interaction, our thoughts, desires, and experiences we may otherwise be unable to communicate are reveled.

This can aid to clarify what you may be experiencing that brought you here in the first place. Art Therapy offers a wonderful tool for improving understanding between family members, building self-confidence, and providing a supportive skill for life. The variety of art mediums additionally can be used to address sensory integration needs, self-regulation and mind-body connections. Art Therapy is effective in reducing anxiety, improving mood, addressing impulsivity, resolving trauma, working with eating disorders and more.

CBT and Mindfulness

Therapy is not something that happens to you; it is a process through which you actively engage your senses and abilities to find new life strategies and healing. Mindfulness-Based CBT, DBT, ACT, TBTS, EFFT all integrate the long-standing therapeutic benefits of understanding the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with new research on the neurobiological impacts of mindfulness and emotional attachments. These approaches are useful in the reduction of anxiety, improving mood, improving relationships, working with disordered eating and more.
